About OuiBake's AMAZING Baklava
Back in 1981, my older brother was dating a girl whose heritage was Greek. She had learned how to make baklava from her grandmother in Greece, and she, in turn, showed me how to make it.
Baklava is a process, combining a sweet syrup that’s cooked on the stove along with phyllo dough layered with a filling. In the Greek culture, the syrup is made with water, sugar, and honey. The filling combines ground black walnuts, cookie wafers, and lots of cinnamon. I have always kept the recipe exactly the same and have never tweaked it. Usually I hear that it’s the best baklava my customer has ever had!
